Julia has been an Oriental Medicine practitioner since 2002.  She began her practice as a shiatsu therapist and instructor and transitioned into acupuncture and herbal medicine.  Currently Julia's holistic practice integrates acupuncture, shiatsu, herbal medicine, and nutritional and lifestyle advice aimed at helping each person find their individual way to health.  When working with a client Julia considers every aspect of the individual and their lifestyle and crafts a personalized treatment which includes acupuncture, shiatsu, nutritional and lifestyle education.  This approach is designed to address individual goals of managing symptoms of illness, enhancing the body's healing capabilities, preventing future disease, and tapping into the person's infinite potential for a vibrant mental, physical, and spiritual state of being.  Julia regularly works with clients whose concerns include stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, fatigue, digestive problems, weight concerns, allergies, asthma, sinus problems, headaches, pain syndromes, diabetes, arthritis, and gynecological issues .

Julia holds a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in NYC. She also has a certification from Ohashiatsu Institute of New York. She is board certified by NCCAOM to practice acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and holds an acupuncture license in NYS.

Julia has been fortunate to study with many outstanding teachers in the holistic medicine field. She is especially grateful to her mother, who has been her greatest teacher in health, healing, and life and to Adnan Sarhan, a sufi teacher, who has been her spiritual guide and the person who inspired her to find her individual path in her work and her life.
